How it works

In a city of millions, it’s easy to feel alone. sup makes it simple to share a meal, meet new faces, and turn strangers into friends, one dinner at a time.

step 1 - sign up

Tell us when you're free, where you'd like to eat, and a couple things about yourself.

step 2 - get matched

We play dinner matchmaker. Every table is curated by hand. We’ll pair you with a small group (usually 20s to early 30s) and pick a great restaurant for you.

step 3 - get the details

Once we’ve matched your table, we book the reservation and text you everything you need: time, place, who’s coming.

step 4 - show up and sup

You just pull up a chair and say 'sup. Every table is a chance to eat well and leave with a story worth sharing.

Why we exist

New York is full of people, but it's hard to meet them. Making friends feels like a lot of work, and dating apps get stuck in chat.

We wanted something easier.

So we built sup: a human dinner concierge that makes eating with new people feel effortless.

You don’t need a big plan. Just tell us when you’re free and we’ll do the rest.

We’re running dinners this week: some 1-on-1, some small groups.

Everything you need to know about sup

Who will I be eating with?

Strangers! But the kind who also signed up for this. We match people thoughtfully, by hand, not by algorithm. You’ll get names and a short intro by text.

Where are the dinners?

All over Manhattan and Brooklyn. We'll pick places that are easy to get to and easy to talk in.

Is this for dating?

Not really. Some dinners are 1-on-1, but the goal is good conversation, not necessarily pressure.

What if someone else flakes?

We ask everyone to confirm their spot. If someone bails, we do our best to fill their seat, or worst comes to worst, let the table run smaller.

Does it cost anything?

Nope. You just pay for your own meal.

Can I bring a friend?

No, that's kind of the point :)
